The Recovery Circle is a bi-weekly support group led by Jennifer Patterson, a trained and certified breathwork practitioner endorsed by Breathwork for Recovery. These are trained professionals that have dedicated themselves to the treatment of substance use disorders, substance use & misuse. They have undergone a rigorous training and vetting process. Clients can breathe with confidence knowing that those leadingThe Recovery Circles are at the top of their field.
This breathwork practice utilizes a two-part, fast-paced breath with a short relaxed breath at the end.
These support groups are an hour in length and open to those impacted by substance use & misuse, as well as those directly impacted, including family and friends of SUD-identified people. This group is for you if you identify as sober, as someone who is engaged in substance misuse or a person in recovery, which can look many different ways. You do not have to identify as sober to attend. This is a group if you are looking for support around your substance use/ misuse and are interested in doing some personal work.
Please note that while The Recovery Circle values confidentiality, it is NOT anonymous, nor is it based on traditional 12-step ideologies or programs. Breathwork for Recovery believes that advocacy is more powerful than anonymity and that by championing recovery in this way, the crisis of addiction can no longer remain hidden in the shadows with silence and shame. Our allies and members are encouraged to be as vocal as possible about their recovery, as sharing and communicating candidly about struggles and successes can help encourage others to do the same. Think of The Recovery Circle as a supplement or alternative to traditional sobriety support systems that can help reframe the way the public thinks about (and judges) people in recovery.
